MEDITERRA S.A. is a company engaged in the production and distribution of mastiha products, based in Chios, in the Northeastern Aegean, and has been listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 2008.

The company combines commercial and production activities, with the most prominent being the creation and management of mastihashop, which has added value to the unique Chios Mastiha while also earning the company dozens of distinctions.

Over its almost 25-year journey, the company has designed and developed dozens of mastiha products across all categories. Inspired by the versatility of mastiha, its pharmaceutical dimension, as well as the long-standing tradition of the dietary culture of the Eastern Mediterranean peoples, both new and traditional ideas were brought into production: chewing gums, snacks, jams, beverages, drinks, cosmetics, dietary supplements, oral care products and other mastiha products that make up the colorful and multicultural basket of mastihashop.

The company was founded in May 2002 by the exclusive management body of Chios Mastiha, the Chios Mastiha Growers Association. The first mastihashop opened on July 17, 2002, on the island of Chios, the birthplace of Mastiha. Today, the company maintains production facilities in Chios, offices in Athens, and operates 10 mastihashop stores and dozens of mastiha corner points. Among the shareholders with holdings of over 5%, apart from the Chios Mastiha Growers Association, are Zaitech Fund and KORRES S.A., while the representation of Chios shipping also plays an important role in the company’s shareholding structure.
