Classic carpaccio with rocket salad, manouri, and mastiha flavored olive oil

Ingredients for 8 servings

  • 16 very thin slices of beef fillet (raw)
  • ¼ cup of mastic-flavored olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 bunch of rocket salad, washed, dried, and torn into small or large pieces by hand
  • 125 g manouri cheese
  • 2 fresh plums, sliced

  1. We spread the carpaccio slices on a large platter.
  2. Whisk the mastic oil with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Lightly brush the carpaccio slices with the marinade.
  3. Place the rocket salad on top. Add the manouri cheese in pieces and garnish with the prunes. Drizzle with the remaining vinaigrette and serve.
