Classic bruschetta with olive oil flavored with mastiha
Ingredients for 4 servings
8 slices of bread (preferably sourdough or rustic)
3 large garlic cloves, halved lengthwise
½ cup extra virgin olive oil flavored with Mastic
coarse salt
1 large tomato, chopped into cubes
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 pinches of basil or thyme
salt and pepper to taste
Cooking instructions
Mix the tomato, Mastic-flavored olive oil, basil or thyme, and salt and pepper.
Grill the slices of bread. Once they are golden, rub them with the cut garlic, drizzle with the remaining non-flavored olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
Top with 2 tablespoons of the tomato mixture and sprinkle with oregano.
