Whipped feta with spices and mastiha

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • 225g feta cheese
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large green pepper, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 2-4 dried chili peppers, finely chopped
  • 1 pickled green pepper, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano, finely chopped
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2-3 drops Mastic oil
  • 3-5 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

  1. Blend the peppers, feta, oregano, and pepper in a blender or food processor until it forms a purée, gradually adding the extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Add the mastiha oil while continuing to blend, then add lemon juice.
  3. Serve cold or at room temperature, on toasted pita.
